Super Exciting News, some jewelry and some blog candy!

Hey there Krazies!

I'm super excited!  I've been working hard to revamp Kricut Krazy - not the look, but the content.  I have tons of things in store for you in the coming weeks.  I look forward to lots of feedback and you guys can look forward to Tutorials, Reviews of tools/supplies, Jewelry Making, Paper Crafting, Stamping (cause you all just LOVE when I get my hands all inky!) and if there is a video, there will be photos to go along with it for people who don't wish to hear me drone on and on about stuff.  Yes, I know everyone loves my voice and my babbling... but you know, just in case  :)

I leave you with my latest project.  A cute little personalized bracelet for my friend Darlene who just had a birthday.  This was SUPER easy.  The little charms are 9mm flat round blanks I purchased on ebay. They are actually nickle plated but look like an antique gold in the photo. (I'm working on my photo taking skills...sigh)  I simply stamped the initials on them with a metal stamping alphabet, then went over the impression with a black Sharpee Marker.  I then dabbed a paper towel with Staz On Remover and wiped across the little blanks so you could only see the dark letters.  D & S (Darlene & Steve) are on ONE link as they are the mom and dad, and their kids are on individual links.  I also added the "Love" charm that I purchased from Fire Mountain Gems.  The infinity link was purchased on ebay as well.  I was so happy with out this turned out as was Darlene!  Great gift for new Mom's or new Families.

These are the first bracelets I ever did. One for my niece, with her husbands initial and their son's initial.  (They have another little one on the way and I will add that initial when we know his or her name)   The other bracelet was for my daughter Amanda, her fiance Brandon and my grand daughter Julianna.  I purchased the bracelets on etsy already made, but I didn't like the infinity link as it was a bit cheesy, so I replaced my own infinity links and tossed the ucky ones.  What do you think?  No video as I was nearly blind after closing those tiny links.  No kidding, I actually got a headache because they are SO tiny.

Tomorrow I will show you a coupla vinyl projects I've been working on and later in the week we (as if there is more than just me) have some great Desk Organizers made with the Cameo!  I am REALLY loving my Cameo but I gotta tell ya, still loving my Cricut.  Thinking about selling the Pazzles and all the extra's I have with it (blades, pen holder, engraving tool, gem stuff, I think I own just about everything)  I just find that I'm not using it as much as the Cameo and Cricut.

Want some blog candy? How about a couple of Cling Stamp sets from Michaels?  I'll post photos of those later in the week. Here's what ya gotta do to get them:

1.  Be a follower
2. Leave a message and answer the following questions:
    a) How would you feel if I added a "Recipe Day" to the blog once a week or two?
    b)  What do you think of the jewelry posts?
    c) which cutter do you use most often?

That's it :)  I will draw a winner from the comments next Sunday and announce the winner on Mondays post.

I hope to have a giveaway once a week - altho they may be small.  Who doesn't love free stuff?

Hugs and Happiness!

Never Forget!

Hello Krazies!

Yes it's actually me this time!  Krazy isn't it?  I don't need to tell you how insane hectic my life has been lately so I'll just say this - soon my friends.... soon I will be back and driving y'all nuts with my krazy projects and krazy reorganizing and such.  I have so much to share with you!  Just about ALL my cricut stuff has been sold.  I do have a fist full of cartridges and I will continue to do binder projects from time to time but my main focus will be Pazzles & Cameo.  We will be sticking to a schedule of sorts (Stamping days, kutter days, pinterest posts, etc) And there will be loads of contests!  Blog candy - you know you love it!

Also big news, I will be changing the website to www.kutterkrazy.com but no worries.  You won't have to change anything you do because I will still own kricutkrazy.com and it will automatically transfer you to the new site - you won't even notice.

Speaking of contest - lets have one RIGHT NOW!  I have 2 stamp sets from Peachy Keen that will be given to a random comment.  Special thanks to www.peachykeen.com for donating them!

All you have to do is leave a comment under this post telling me your 9/11 story.  It can be detailed or it can be short.  Your choice, all comments will be entered to win the 2 stamps above.

Here's my story:

We were stationed in Key West Florida.  The kids were at school, I was on my way to work and late as usual.  I went to flip off the tv and go out the door and saw the Tower on fire.  I stood there transfixed.  I called the office to tell them to turn on the tv and then drove to work. When I arrived a few minutes later everyone was around the tv watching.  By now the 2nd tower had been hit.  I was starting to get very very very scared.  I didn't want to believe it.  We just stood there. Then...... the Pentagon was hit.  I looked at my boss and said "I have to get my children" he told me to go ahead.  As I drove back toward the base I was suddenly terror stricken.  Who do I pick up first?  My 6th grader in town at the middle school or my 4th grader on the base at the elementary school?  At the last second I decided to go to town first (good thing too as they shut down the base right after I got back on it)  Most of our husbands were gone for days as they worked at neighboring bases (Key West has 3 plus the one with housing that we were on) the kids didn't really understand what was happening and all the neighbors just stood outside and talked with one another.  It was horribly tragic as you are aware and something we will never forget. Ever.

Ok so on that note - lets share our stories!  I'll pick a winner on Friday!
Good luck :)

Hugs & stuff!

Erica's Cricut Blog Hop!

It's Blog Hop time!

Here is your exciting lineup!

Here is my project for the hop which sadly does not have a cricut cut unless you count the card itself. HA!

I used a brand new stamp set from Michelle & Candace over at Jaded Blossom that was just released last week. Isn't that tree gorgeous? This is the Simple Sayings set which has this beautiful tree a few birds and then a lot of sayings.

I used Close to my heart cocoa ink for the tree and saying.  I painstakingly put every pearl you see on that tree YIPES!  Those pearls are also from CTMH.  The paper is Stamping up and the teeny ribbon was made using twine and a fork.  I love making tiny lil bows with the fork.  Great trick! If you don't know how to do it, just check youtube for a video or two - they are everywhere.

Blog Candy? I suppose ya want some huh? :)  I have a grab bag full of goodies and well..... it's a grab bag so it's a surprise. You won't be disappointed I promise!  I will give you a hint tho.... there is a small hostess stamp from Close to my heart AND a Cricut Lanyard, I'm not telling you the rest :)

Simply leave a comment on THIS post and be sure to be a follower.  If you aren't a follower you will be disqualified (had that happen last time boooo)

Please be sure to hop all the way through - there are some awesome projects, some great bloggers and some blog candy and who doesn't love a chance at Blog Candy?

Please click the photo to see my detail on the pearls.  If you correctly guess how many pearls are on that card and you are the winner - I will throw in THREE extra goodies in your grab bag. How exciting is that?

Thanks for stopping by - come back now ya hear?

May 31, lots of info here Campin Critters

Hey Krazies -

Yes, it's been super hectic round these parts.  As some of you may or may not know, my my has Parkinsons and has had a pretty rough week so I've been sidelined helping her. Not to mention my laptop is in a coma. That's a nice little expense I hadn't planned on along with hubby's truck breaking down. Oh when it rains it pours but we have our health so we are blessed.

Christie has also been up to her ears in work and school activities - she was able to sneak away for 1/2 a day to go kayaking on memorial day and is now dealing with sun burn HA

Ok so I owe you SEVEN projects for the month of May and then we will be complete - after the final project is posted the contest will begin. Please watch the video so you can see the exciting news regarding the contest and some cool buys I got at Walmart.

I have TWO items for you today!  First is this cute frame for my mom (the one in the center) with her great grandson Jaxon.  The frame was 1.00 at Michaels and I used paper from the DCWV Boys Nursery paper stack.  A few gems and bows and Jaxon's name with wooden letters and INSTANT gift that Mom adored!  (My sister is on mom's left and my beautiful niece and first time mom Lauren is on mom's right.  Lauren and her husband are very proud parents and Jaxon is just the cutest lil guy!

Ok so - here is my first ever all by myself, didn't use a recipe and it's not from a Cricut Cartridge Project. EEK!   I want HONEST feedback my Krazies - we learn from others so PLEASE be honest.

I used the Pemberly kit from Close to My Heart.  This is a super cute kit and coordinates with the most awesome cartridge EVER.  Art Philosophy. If you don't have it - get it. You won't regret it.  The background card stock is a blue I'm starting to fall in love with.  The flower in the center is actually cut from a piece of cardstock in the kit that was full of flowers. I edged it with blue ink.  There is a solid blue shadow and then the 3 pieces of cream that were run thru the cuttlebug and taped down.  The blue squares are metal and were with the kit. The butterflies I inked the edges, they are wooden and also in the kit. I put pearls on the wings and colored them blue to match.  The shoelace type material down the center was also in the kit.

The inside of the card is actually my favorite. The words and butterflies are from the Pemberly stamp set, however the "Happy Mothers Day" is from Joy's Life and the little trails after the butterflies are from Bzz a stamp set from CTMH.

Ok there you have it - my 2 projects.  Both created from my head - first time ever. I've always copied stuff - so bring on the comments - would love to hear your thoughts. Remember, to qualify for the contest to win 31+ projects you must be a member of the blog and leave comments.

Enjoy the hop and Happy Mothers Day!

Winners!!!!!!!

We have winners!  Sorry I was SO late posting this but the truth is I could not figure out how to get a winner. I finally decided to just put everyone's name on a slip of paper and each time you posted was a different slip of paper so if you posted all 7 days like you were supposed to, you got 7 entires - then I had my mom pull the winner out of a hat.....ok a bowl.  She wouldn't let me photograph her - she's silly that way.  However....

The winner of the "Who am I impersonating" (correctly guessed Madea) video clip is...............

PinkE

This is her prize:

Yep - she gets the card I made that was in the video. Yay!  First time I gave away one of my creations LOL. Hope you like it PinkE!  Please email me with your mailing address so I can get this off to you.

And the winner of the Week Posting is:

CREATIVE M said...
Thanks Tangee for showing whats on our carts.Love the invite!TFS
http://craftingwithcreativem.blogspot.com

3 Birds on Parade Binder Project

Hello everyone!

I hope you enjoyed yesterday's project - I did a video for it and will be uploading that shortly so be sure to check back on the 50 States Post so you can see the video if you like that kinda thing.

This is the 3 birds on Parade Project.  Oh how cute is this cartridge?  Those lil birds are SO cute! I hope you like them as much as I do!

I tried the camera on a tripod and a different angle. Sure would love your feedback on that.  Also, do you prefer photo's AND Video, or just one or the other?

Looking forward to your comments. Please remember, you must comment on every post from Today through next Sunday to qualify for the blog candy - additionally you probably should be following me :)

Merry Christmas & New Year Resolutions oh yeah, and nieces baby shower invites

Merry Christmas!  I do hope that you were surrounded by loved ones and counted your blessings.

Before I tell you my Crafty Resolutions I wanted to share some photos of my wonderful niece's baby shower invites and a few decorations.

Oh what a joy it was piecing together over 60 of these!  My sister and I worked on them ALL day and we are very pleased with how they turned out.
Sisters idea to knot the twine and put it at the top to look like a vine.  we used stock stickers for the inside monkey due to time constraints.
This is the back of the Diaper Cake my sister made. She did an outstanding job - I'm so proud of her!
The front of the awesome cake.  My sister is very much like Martha Stuart in the sense that she can sew anything, decorate like you would not believe (her home is like a showcase) and she is probably the best cook I know.  She is not crafty in this sense - she claims I got those genes but she proves herself wrong with this diaper cake.  I wish I would have taken more photos of the house and how she had animals hanging from here and there - the cookies she made that looked like monkeys and the beautiful array of food and deserts!
I wasn't sure what animals I would use on the banner, so I cut out tons of them - cause you never know. You'll be able to see in another photo how they are all throughout the living room where the shower was held.  I really like how this banner turned out.  Jaxon is due to arrive January 28th or so and will be Lauren & Ray's first baby.

My beautiful niece, her super sweet loving husband Ray, my sister next to Lauren and Rays mom next to him.  June 09
Laurens bestie made this cute Monkey in a tree and framed it. Everyone at the shower put their thumbprints in various shades of green on the tree and it now hangs in the Nursery.  What a fantastic idea!

This toy box was made by one of Lauren's friends - hand drawn and painted - beautiful!

Ok - now that is out of the way let's talk Resolutions.  I normally don't do Resolutions cause lets face it, they are hard to stick to. But I don't think I'm going to make any I can't stick to so here we go!

1.  I will stop buying stuff cause I want it and start padding our teeny tiny savings account. Hubby says we can not live off of crafting supplies when we retire and I suppose he's right.  Sigh....
2.  I will make at least 3 items per week in my craft room.   I must take the time to use my supplies and make pretty things.
3.  I will post at least 1 time per week, complete with photos and or video. No more babbling posts about nothing with empty promises of "I'll try to post soon"
4.  I will TRY, yes TRY to start my scrapbooks (I only have 15 brand new still sealed Westin books from 40 years ago that need filled) but only after I see that #'s 1, 2 and 3 are being done!

So, if you read this far I'd like to reward you by announcing some blog candy.  I will give the winner a cartridge, a cuddlebug folder set and a few surprises. The more comments I get, the more things I'll throw in the box of Blog Candy - To qualify for the blog candy, please leave a comment and tell if you have resolutions.  Tell me if you think I can stick to mine and if you aren't already a follower, please become one.

Happy New Year everyone!

Update on Kricut Krazy

Hey Krazies!

I am SO sorry we haven't had much posted lately but as with all of you, life is very hectic. I don't know how some of you post things on your blog every single day. I always have good intentions but then reality intervenes and you know how it goes.

Tammy is having a very rough time. Her husband is ill and needs Emergency Surgery but there are complications with the VA and doctors and blah blah. The good news is that Military Retirement Insurance will take care of him, and normally they take very good care of retiree's but there is a glitch in this case. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.  Additionally Tammy's 2yo is having a few normal 2yo health issues (ear infections, crankiness, terrible 2's) and she is completely overwhelmed and I don't have the heart to ask her to post anything.

We briefly discussed grabbing our craft supplies and running away but you know they (family) will find us so what's the point. Sigh...

I on the other hand have no valid excuse except work and family.  I'm just writing to ask that you keep coming back. We will be posting again as soon as possible - Kricut Krazy is here to stay :)

Here is a Flutter Bee I made with the Botanical's cart a coupla months ago and forgot to post.  Just a simple lil card using paper from various DCWV pads.

Right now I'm working on Wall Art for work. I'm making a huge banner that says "We Are Hampton!" and everyone's names under it in various fonts and colors.

What are you working on?  Share with us and you may just win some blog candy.

Scrappin with my Bug Happy Birthday Blog Hop!

Hey Krazies!

My sweet friend Michelle from Scrappin with my Bug is having a birthday!  We're celebrating by gathering a bunch of fun ladies for a big blog hop that is going to run all weekend long. Lots of fun stuff to see along the way and prizes galore!  Be sure you stop at Michelles blog first to wish her a Happy Birthday!

My Project

Happy Birthday Michelle!

Front of the Gate fold card.  I used rub on dots for the top and bottom, 2 buttons to wrap the bakers twine around and cut the flowers from Walk in my garden.  The stamps are misc Birthday stamps and the paper is all DCWV various stacks.  I inked around the flowers with chalk ink (cats eye I think it's called)  Oh and the rub on dot borders are from Stamping Up.  I'm brand new with rubber stamps and will eventually learn how do do it correctly.
Inside of the card.  It's your Day is from Pink Cricut - one of her stamp sets.... sorry don't remember which. Paper is from DCWV and I inked a lil here and there.

How cute are these flowers? I tried to bunch them more carefully but the more I tried the more cross eyed I felt so I gave up. I still think they are adorable. I wish I had done something to the flower pot and I still may later.

This is a border cut from the cartridge.  The center of the flower in the middle is a fuzzy type brad.

I suppose you wanna know what the blog candy for Kricut Krazy is.... well Who wants "Best of Pixar"???  leave a message below letting me know what you think of the card and you are entered to win. It's that easy :)

Hop along now :)

March is here! (read the entire post to find a hidden contest!

Yeah!  I love March - There are several reasons.

#1  My birthday is the 8th and I LOVE birthdays cause that means PRESENTS and I LOVE presents!
#2  St. Patricks Day - I don't drink green beer (or any beer for that matter, I'm a foo foo drink girl)
#3  Spring is on it's way!

This year I have another reason to love March.  On March 11 a bunch of Cricut Circle Members along with Janna from Provo Craft are going to have a big ole crop party.  If you are in the Baltimore area come join us next weekend!  Check out the Cricut Circle Message board for more information would LOVE to see you there. While everyone else is doing scrapbook pages - I'm doing cards and stuffs. I hope to have lots of stuff to share with you guys.

Tammy has not posted in over a week because her baby is sick.  Jeremy has a nasty ear infection and Tammy didn't get sleep for 4 days!  He's on antibiotics now and already showing signs of improvement so hang in there - you will hear from her and see her fabulous creations in no time.

I have been working a lot and when I'm not working I'm at the Chiropractor trying to get my pelvis and neck back in a position where I'm not in pain all the time.

To my Krazy followers I thank you for your loyalty and patience and you will be rewarded - I promise.

To Teresa K the winner of the Cricut Cartridge I owe you a huge apology - hubby was supposed to mail you the cartridge and gypsy sleeve 2 weeks ago.  I thought it was already in your hands. Then today he said he found it under his front seat!  Seems that ONE package out of several he was mailing for me slipped under the seat and he didn't know it was there until today when he slammed on the breaks to avoid something and it came flying out from under the seat.  I'm going to guess the weight and just mail it from the house on Monday - I can print the postage right from here which is what I should have done to start with  UGGGG.  I'm so sorry.

To the rest of you Krazy's - leave a comment telling me what you think I should make at the upcoming crop.  I will randomly pick someone to win a goodie pack from the crop this weekend and to the person who's suggestion I actually use - you will win Best of Pixar cartridge (brand spankin new) and a goodie pack from the crop.

So what should I make?  Let me know and maybe you will be the winner!

hugs and chirps!

1/3/11

Oh what an exciting day....

I wake up this morning, piddle around and then jump in my craft room to play. As some of you know, I'm anal about my scrap room so I have to now clean and organize it before I can play.  This involved updating my gypsy and putting my new carts on it, then completely redoing my cart shelf then I found papers that fell behind my printer and had to sort them and found the missing emissions test paper due on the 14th yaay.  So then I organize a few new toys, straighten, had to dust the table and desk that was full of glitter, price tags, snips of gift paper, buried pens/bows/ribbons/scissors.  So a good 3 hours later (yes, ADD in adults is such fun.... sigh) I start designing my lil heart out on my gypsy (After I made a note of every cartridge I do not own (68 for those paying attention)  Oh, and after I went on papercraftingpro.com and ordered 14 more EEK so that would be 54 I don't own....

Where was I?  Told ya ADD was a pain in the butt.  Anyway so I get some stuff designed and ready to print - I pick out some purty paper and load it on my mat, then plug in the gypsy and go to load it into the Expression.... nothing.  Just a timer on the gypsy. Hmmm....  then a thingy pops up that says You are not connected to the Cricut, check your connection.  So I did, 80 bamillion times.  So then I ask Mr. Kricut Krazy to look at it. Even tho he does not have ADD, he took THAT moment to chase me around and try to uhm...anyway he looks at it and says "It's either the cord or the Expression.  Gee thanks Mr. Helpful.

So I give up. Instead I do a video for you guys whining about how things didn't work out AGAIN and instead I show you my haul from Santa (tools, cartridges, peachy keen stamps and I forgot to show you my rocking pink Skull candy headphones (not ear buds but actual headphones) then I go over to my gypsy and Expression to show you what happened when I tried to cut so you guys would know I wasn't just be lazy and wouldn't you believe it? It started working - you'll see my shock and surprise at the end of the video (which will take a coons age to upload.

Anyway - who wants some blog candy?  How about a brand spankin new still in the package Summer Vacation Cartridge - if you already own it, you can choose a Lime Green Gypsy starter kit which I got with my rewards points but didn't need cause I have a pink one I like more.  All ya gotta do is leave ONE or TWO new years resolutions in the comments section. It would be nice if you followed the blog but you don't hafta if you don't wanna.

Is anyone still reading this?  I'm still missing 50 or so cartridges so if you wanna send me some I don't have I'd be forever grateful  Giggle Snort...

Ok my New Year resolution is the following:

#1  Find a Challenge blog to follow - and do the challenges.
#2  Post AT LEAST once a week on Kricut Krazy
#3 Find a partner to do Kricut Krazy with me so I don't go a month without posting.

Here's Part 2 of the Video from above...

 let the comments begin!

A project or two, some playing and some blog candy!

Hey Krazies!

Happy Happy New Year!  I hope you had an awesome holiday, I sure did! I got to see my girls (one flew in from CA, the other drove in from GA) and I got to spend time with family. I love Christmas shopping and Christmas day comes and goes way too fast!

I got 11 carts between my husband and sister - all lites that I've been wanting. I also got a Kindle and can I just say I'm head over heals in love with this thing?  I can't put it down!

So I'm off to do a few errands, hubby is catching up on Mt. Laundry and when I get home I need to straighten my craft area (which was the present wrapping station for the last month) and put away Christmas stuffs and then I'm going to play!  I'm hoping to pull off a project or two, do some playing and share what I come up with and announce a blog giveaway!

Let me know what you are working on and how Santa treated you.

Love, hugs and chirps!

Can't find my cartridge winner :(

I'm hoping the cartridge winner answers soon!  I emailed her and put it on this site.  I'll give it one week and if I don't hear from her I'll pull another winner.

Hope you all are having a beautiful weekend!

You are going to LOVE this video. TRUST ME!

How do you store your 12x12 paper?  Do you like those Vertical folders from Cropper Hopper?  See that? 5.88.  I love them, but I needed 15 of them.  I have 5.  Well after putting my thinking cap on I came up with a way to do this for FREE.  and it takes 3 sheets of paper to decorate.  So watch the video then leave me a comment letting me know what you think.

At the end of the video is a contest for some blog candy - who wants a free cartridge?  I don't know what the cartridge is yet because my sponsor didn't tell me what they were sending - so we'll all be surprised YAAAY.

I love comments so please leave me some feedback!
