Print and Cut - graphics and your Pazzles

I know I am not posting on the correct day, but if I don't while I get the chance I may not get round to it.

 I have been busy designing projects for a new on-line magazine dedicated to crafter's who enjoy using die cutting machines called The Cutting Edge Magazine.

Anyhow, enough rambling on.  Here is my project following my recent Print and Cut Video Tutorial for the Pazzles Inspiration.  Did you see it, what did you think? I would love some positive feedback.

Today I thought I would show you the sort of cards that you can make using your cutter together with graphic files.

Look how great my Print and Cut tree cut out! 

It cut out so well using my Pazzles Inspiration cutter that I layered 2 of them on top of each other with craft foam pads for dimension.  I then added some gorgeous self adhesive rhinestones to the centre of the flowers.

I printed out my text, using my Pazzles Studio Pro software .....

.....and cut it out using Print and Cut again!

I also cut my frame using Kaisercraft paper and layered it onto my base card which I made also using my Pazzles Studio Pro Software.

Oh my - so so much going on - summer just flew by didn't it?  First, we have a Peachy Keen Winner - I announced it on facebook and forgot to announce it here and wondered why the winner didn't come forward LOL.  Anyway - Congrats Lynn!

I was in Central Florida and had dropped my kids off at school. When I got home the first plane had hit and they thought it was an accident. Then the news started following the second plane and they figured out something else was going on. I remember watching it all unfold.

Ok wanna know why you haven't heard from me? This sums it up:  

Terrible just how true this is of me LOL

Hubby and I went to Chantilly VA to the Pazzles retreat.  Well, he went to local historical sites, I went to the retreat and let me tell you I had a wonderful time.  First, when we pulled up to the hotel I went to get out and  absolutely could not stand up. I put my feet out, went to stand up and could not straighten my back.  This lady is sitting on a bench looking at me and bursts out laughing!  I knew we were going to be great friends!  (didn't hurt myself, just stiff from sitting in the car so long)  After we checked in I found her in the lobby and introduced myself.  She is Sharon from PA and was great fun - we learned tons together.  We also giggled a lot. Allen took us to dinner and hung out with us after class.  Isn't he Handsome? Love that man of mine.

 Here is a photo from the back of the room looking forward (obviously)  That empty chair is mine. Sharon is to my right and Linda is next to her.  The people to our left didn't like us.  Don't know why I'm so darn personable. Ah well what can ya do?

The pictures above are small but you can click on them and get the full size. Just various angles of the classroom.  The one looking from the front to the back I kinda got the stink eye for LOL.  On the right is the famous Klo.  She has her own classroom in the Pazzles Craft Room online with so many videos you will be a pro in no time!

I love the Pazzles - the housing is the same as the housing on Cricut.  So any add on's you have for your cricut (pens, blades, blade housing, pen holders, marker holders) can be used in the Pazzles.  It cuts beautifully and the craft room is just amazing with lots of support (they get back to you the same day, how insane is that?) you get a discount on anything you buy in their store (when you are a member) They have forums where the people are kind and they have thousands of images.  THOUSANDS and new ones all the time. With a craft room membership you get 40 images every 72 hours - aweeeeeesome. Your library will be huge in no time flat!  Plus we have a fun place on facebook www.facebook.com/pazzlepeople 

Ya gotta check out the Pazzles if you haven't already.  You can get it for 99 bucks and then a 2 year contract with the craft room (19.99 a month) The lady that created the Pazzles is Chris and omg she is so helpful and kind.  She invented the personal cutter.  Yes, that cutter from Cricut was her invention.  I gotta tell you, 3 days in the classroom with her and Klo and not a single negative thing was said about any competitor including cricut. That is classy as far as I'm concerned.

I love all the features (print and cut is a fav) and will showcase them with different projects I do through out October.  Christie Anderson (who is recovering from emergency surgery and needs our love) Joanna (the mad poster) and I all have Pazzles - any thing we can help you with just let us know.

I am also using the Cameo & the Cricut Imagine.  But Pazzles has quickly become my favorite cutter - you can cut almost any file out there (svgs, pdfs, etc)

Hexagonal Decorative Boxes (svg's)

Hi everyone, it's Joanna again as guest designer from ilove2cutpaper sharing with you my project this week.  

I love making boxes with my Pazzles cutting machine especially at this time of the year as they are so handy for festive gifts.

For these boxes I have used svg files from a set which includes different designed bases and lids.

The boxes are available in ai, dxf, eps, gsd, jpg, pdf and svg file formats for your cutting machine.

I cut these 2 boxes using the same base. Then I cut out 2 different lids in coordinating paper.

I decided not to cut out the top centre piece of the lid design so I moved it to the side and made it larger in 2 increasing sizes using the outline feature.

Using different coordinating paper I layered the centre design and added an antique brad to the middle.

And here is the inside of the decorative box ready to fill with a gift.

Using double sided paper by Kaisercraft (These Days Collection) made the box really easy to put together.  I love this paper so much I think I will have to buy some more!

Never Forget!

Hello Krazies!

Yes it's actually me this time!  Krazy isn't it?  I don't need to tell you how insane hectic my life has been lately so I'll just say this - soon my friends.... soon I will be back and driving y'all nuts with my krazy projects and krazy reorganizing and such.  I have so much to share with you!  Just about ALL my cricut stuff has been sold.  I do have a fist full of cartridges and I will continue to do binder projects from time to time but my main focus will be Pazzles & Cameo.  We will be sticking to a schedule of sorts (Stamping days, kutter days, pinterest posts, etc) And there will be loads of contests!  Blog candy - you know you love it!

Also big news, I will be changing the website to www.kutterkrazy.com but no worries.  You won't have to change anything you do because I will still own kricutkrazy.com and it will automatically transfer you to the new site - you won't even notice.

Here's my story:

We were stationed in Key West Florida.  The kids were at school, I was on my way to work and late as usual.  I went to flip off the tv and go out the door and saw the Tower on fire.  I stood there transfixed.  I called the office to tell them to turn on the tv and then drove to work. When I arrived a few minutes later everyone was around the tv watching.  By now the 2nd tower had been hit.  I was starting to get very very very scared.  I didn't want to believe it.  We just stood there. Then...... the Pentagon was hit.  I looked at my boss and said "I have to get my children" he told me to go ahead.  As I drove back toward the base I was suddenly terror stricken.  Who do I pick up first?  My 6th grader in town at the middle school or my 4th grader on the base at the elementary school?  At the last second I decided to go to town first (good thing too as they shut down the base right after I got back on it)  Most of our husbands were gone for days as they worked at neighboring bases (Key West has 3 plus the one with housing that we were on) the kids didn't really understand what was happening and all the neighbors just stood outside and talked with one another.  It was horribly tragic as you are aware and something we will never forget. Ever.

Ok so on that note - lets share our stories!  I'll pick a winner on Friday!

Alphabet Blocks Gift Box

Hi everyone, it's Joanna again as guest designer from ilove2cutpaper sharing with you my project this week.

This is the cutest of projects which you can use with your (Pazzles Inspiration) cutting machine or hand cut with scissors, it's that easy!

This would make the cutest baby christening gift box, don't you think?

I must say I have had the most wonderful trip down memory lane cutting these files, remembering all the sweet baby moments I had when my 3 children were born!

Incidentally, as you have the cut line for the box included in the Alphabet Block - Print and Cut set you could print out some of the digital papers also available in the collection.  I would lay the digital printed sheet on your cutting mat and just use the cut file (svg).....so many options.

For these Alphabet Blocks, I decided not to print and cut, although the file does include the cut file for you to use with your electronic cutting machine.  The boxes are so easy to cut with scissors so, on this occasion that's what I did.

Once downloaded onto my computer I selected the .png format and right clicked to print from my desktop,  (not even opening my Pazzles software).

When my printer settings were open (as above) I DE-SELECTED Fit picture to frame using Paper size A4. On the right hand side I selected the size of the print I wanted which meant I could change the size of the printed boxes.  I selected Full page photo for my gift box.

Here is my A4 printed page which has just come off the printer.

Once my box was printed out I cut around using scissors!

Then scored using my bone folder (very easy), then assembled my boxes.

Following a sketch with my Pazzles Studio Pro software.

Hi, here I am again, Joanna as guest designer at Kricut Krazy, sharing a recent project with my Pazzles Inspiration cutting machine.

Making this card using my Pazzles I really challenged myself, on two counts.  Firstly, I tried a recent sketch from Mojo Monday and secondly, I challenged myself to use papers and graphics with my Pazzles 2010 Studio Pro software.

I imported the sketch layout as a .jpeg into my Pazzles  software and then drew the elements so that I could cut them with my cutting machine at the desired size.

I then printed out some digital papers and laid them onto my cutting mat and cut each element as I required.

I chose my images and  I then print and cut the graphics out with my Pazzles Inspiration.

This is not my usual style of card but I love how it turned out.

The combination of the papers and graphics made it easier to follow the sketch that seemed to have zillions of layers!

I am pleased I had a go at the challenge!

Blog update - important changes and such

Hello everyone!

There have been quite a few changes in my crafting world lately that I want to share with you.  As you know, I've been purging my cricut stuff slowly. I'm down to about 50 cartridges and 1 machine left to sell.  Does this mean Kricut Krazy is no more?  Absolutely not.

I have decided to keep my Cricut Imagine.  Along with my Imagine cartridges and about a good dozen or so regular cartridges, and most likely a few new ones.  I will still be doing cricut projects about once a week or so - even if I have to have a guest designer for those.  That is undecided at this point.

However, I will still be crafting, finding deals to share with you, cool organization ideas to share with you and some other cool stuff so please stay with me as I go through these changes.

I sold my E2 to a sweet lady and used those funds for a Silhouette Cameo and am learning it a little more each day.  I also have a Pazzles that has been on the shelf for a coupla months but I'm going to a retreat in September (just a few weeks away) and am excited at what I will learn there.

There will still be blog candy now and then - as a matter of fact I have THREE fun Stamp sets from Peachy Keen they graciously donated and a few other things hiding to share with you.

My team of Krazies - Heather, Heather, Christie, Teri (our stamping up expert) & our resident Pazzles Expert from Down Under Joanna will still be very much a part of the team.  Christie is out sick and has to have emergency surgery this week but she'll be ok so no worries.  The Heathers will be back after school starts and Teri and Joanna will still be popping up.

Thank you guys! For 2 years of loyalty and friendship, comments and blog hops, fun and laughter.

The next day or three will be busy for my resident Web Mistress and Design Diva Sarah as she revamps the page. It will continue to be www.kricutkrazy.com but some things will look different

Decorated bag using a sketch

Here I am again, Joanna Wright from ilove2cutpaper.blogspot.com, as guest designer at Kricut Krazy using my Pazzles Inspiration. 

This week I decided to decorate my 1st paper bag using some new cutting files available on my blog.

During the summer holidays my kids are taking priority in the entertainment stakes so crafting is limited!

So, I decided to use a sketch to help me.......

As this was the 1st sketch that I have followed, I wanted to try and keep to it, as close as possible.

 I made my own jagged border in my Pazzles Studio Pro software using Tools, found in the Colour menu.....I was quite pleased how it turned out.

  

The decorative circle in the centre of the bag is from a cutting file set available in ai, dxf, eps, gsd, jpg, pdf and svg file formats available on my blog.

Feeling RUFF card

Hi fellow crafters, it's me again, Joanna from I love 2 cut paper with a project 
using my Pazzles Inspiration.

Earlier in the week I found a cute dog graphic that I cut using my Pazzles Inspiration digital cutter.

I have used the Print and Cut technique and I can now hold up my hand and say I have mastered it....hooray!!

I made my base card using my Pazzles Studio Pro software.  I just drew a rectangle and used the scissors (tools) to make the jagged edge to the base.  I then used my crimper on the yellow paper that is adhered behind the dog.

I thought the dog looked sooooo cute and would be perfect for my friend who is not feeling great at the moment.  I simply autotraced the image, added an outline and used the print and cut technique.

I printed the sentiment using one of the fonts already installed on my computer and then cut the little tag by hand.

When you master Print and Cut with your software it allows you to make quick cards and the satisfaction of conquering another challenge with your software!

Reindeer Games Bingo Christmas Card

Hi fellow crafters

This is rather new to me but I am very excited to be a Guest Designer here, this Sunday.  A little bit about me, my name is Joanna Wright......I have a Pazzles Inspiration digital die cutting machine which I LOVE!

I bought it here in the UK 2 years ago. I use it for all my cardmaking and really could not live with out it.  If you are a crafter you will understand where I am coming from!!

Anyhow, for my project today I have been busy using a FREEBIE download that is still available on my blog post (till tonight, midnight MST), so hop over and grab it!

I cut the base card on my Pazzles Inspiration and layered all the papers.  I downloaded the Bingo card which I trimmed with a guillotine and adhered to my card.  I printed the cute reindeer from a graphics set.  Using the Print and Cut technique with my cutting machine I added him to my card.  Just the addition of doodling, a purchased paper flower and some gorgeous twine my Christmas card was done!!!!

May 18 Oh are you in for a treat today my Krazies!

So,

About a month ago I got a Pazzles.  Here is what it looks like in all it's glory.

I have been quite afraid of it and I'm not sure why.  I've cut a few things on my un-updated Expression using MTC or Scal but nothing fancy or wonderful or heck, even noteworthy. While I LOVE my Cricut and all it's cartridges I still want to be able to cut whatever I want, whenever I want, however I want. So.... today I'm going to be doing a project and posting it here (later this evening)

Pazzles has this great deal on their website.  You can order a pazzles for 600 smackers (like who has that kinda dough hanging around with nothing to spend it on?) or, you can pay 99 bucks and then 20 bucks a month for access to their website for 2 years.  The website has tons of tutorials, classes, many many many cut files (I'm talking a massive amount) forums, etc.  Here is the ultra cool thing that my gf Christie showed me on hers - when you cut something that has score marks - the Pazzles scores it for you automatically!!!! OMG, no blade changes, lining up, blah blah - just put the box (example) you are cutting on your virtual mat (comes with software but you can also use Scal and MTC) when you cut the box the pazzles cuts it AND scores it at the same time OMG OMG OMG how freaking awesome is that?  I'm the type that is score challenged.  Even using Martha Stewarts score board I'll skip 2 lines - I really am a goober. Y'all have NO idea.
