Happy Holidays!

chirp........chirp...........chirp....... the silence is awful around here!

Hi Krazies!  I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving surrounded by loved ones and eating way too much!  I've been busy with this and that.

I need to send a shout out to my fellow bloggers, Scrappin with my Bug, Crazy about Cricut, and so many more of you. I have NO idea how you do it but I give you major respect for holding down jobs, raising young families, taking care of a household, shopping till you drop AND pounding out an impressive and successful blog each day.  The thought of it makes my head spin.

So give me a minute, I need to catch my breath. You people wear me out!  LOL.

My beautiful niece just had her baby shower for baby Jaxon due the end of January. It is her first child so of course we are all spoiling her!  What a beautiful shower it was indeed!  I made several of the decorations and the invites and my sister (Laurens mom) made a gorgeous diaper cake. All in a jungle theme - there were monkeys EVERYWHERE.  Photos will follow in the next few days.

The first of the month my fantastic husband and I celebrated a wedding anniversary on the Carnival Pride which was wonderful.  If you don't count the 32 hours of horrible sailing conditions we faced where 2/3's of the ship was sick and the boat was rocking and jumping and insane. Pics and maybe video of that coming up in a few weeks as well.

So yesterday as any die hard crafter knows, Michaels was open for a scant 4 hours with some excellent buys and 30% off on top of that! (my ONLY black Friday/Thursday shopping venture.   I bought 16 more jet cubes and once again I am redoing my craft area. Will it ever be good enough for me? I doubt it. Perhaps one day when I have real walls to work with instead of paneling in the basement.  Time will tell.  I swear I re-organize, shop and reorganize some more to avoid actually making something.  Sigh...

So here for your eyes only, in all it's ugly glory is the start of a new scrap area!  These 3 photos are just so you can look on in shock and say "Oh that room doesn't stand a chance" so when I post videos and photos later you can be WOW'd.  Thanks to ds and dh for putting together 12 of the cubes last nite. Hope to have it done by the weekend!

Look at the mess!  The cubes on your left are some of the ones I bought yesterday.  The shelf you see catty corner is going to be gone and those cubes will extend all the way to the wall. I can't get rid of the cat tree or I'll have 4 furbies clawing me so I have to work around it. Peeking under the mess on the floor is my huge area rug that says Kricut Krazy and has a lil cricut head on it. Hubby made that for me for an anniversary gift - it is beautiful!

As you can see there is lots to be done and I play on having it done by the end of the weekend.  I have promised hubby that I will NOT reorganize again after this for at least a year!  Cross fingers I can stick to it.  I'm also hoping to get in there at least once a week and do something fun and creative.

Oh - I really want the new holiday cart by CM - so if you are a consultant and selling it for your price - contact me please!

That's about all for now. Everyone have a wonderful weekend full of holiday spirit!

Hugs & Chirps!

  1. Awwww, I miss you too Tangee! I laughed when you said how you reorganize more than craft. I totally do that too! (I HAVE to craft to keep my sanity, since my job is taking care of my kiddos.) I'm glad when you give us updates on how you're doing, and I know that you'll get back to full crafting force one day. In the meantime I know you're still Kricut Kraaaaaaazy!!
