Terrific Thursday!!

Hi Krazies -

I'm still tethered to the couch trying to heal my back and can't get to bloggy stuff. But I did want to tell you I had a terrific Mail day and one of my Blog Buddies has an awesome tip and video you MUST see.

Today hubby got a great card from Jenny Kozar wishing him luck and she wrote a nice note. Jenny, Allen says thank you!  Put a great big smile on his face.

I also got Joys Vinylology DVD set. WOW. If you haven't already invested in this gem, do it now!  Strike while the pan is hot my grandmother usta say!  I almost didn't buy them and truth be told I wanted to because I like to support my cricut friends and their business adventures (stamps, dvd's, etc) because we should all help one another dontcha think?  Anyway I figured I knew enough about vinyl and didn't need it.  Boy was I wrote. Within 15 minutes of watching the FIRST dvd I discovered 2 things I didn't know and one of them was a real WOW.  I'm not going to spoil it for you here, just go get the dvd.  You THINK you know all there is, trust me ya don't!  You will after these awesome DVD's - there isn't one there, there is TWO.  SCORE!  So head over to Joys Life if you haven't already.

I went over to visit Sarah at Pink Cricut and she has a video posted on how to clean your Cricut Mats.  Now, we've all seen video's showing you scrapping and cleaning and water and soap and this and that and it's just so messy and well... annoying.  Not anymore!  Check out what Sarah has discovered.  It just so happens to be episode 100 - she does great videos!  I'm going to try her technique this weekend as soon as I can run out and find the EL CHEAPO supplies you need.  Most of you can find the supplies in your husbands garage!  If you head over there, tell her Kricut Krazy sent ya!

Did you guys know there is Fuzzy vinyl? I didn't but how cool is that?  Buy Joy's DVD to learn more!

Hugs and Chirps!

  1. Thanks for the review. I like to support fellow crafters too(as much as my budget will allow anyway!). This one is definitely on the list :)

  2. Thanks for the info! Hope you get off the couch soon.

  3. Hope you feel better soon - and Allen you are welcome!

Kricut Krazy is back!

Hello everyone!

I've missed you all!  What a crazy summer it has been.  I just kept walking by my craft room and longing to sit down and do something fun.  I've dabbled in things over the summer but no real crafty fun day.  I've been cooking tons of stuff I find on pinterest (surprisingly most has been a huge hit!) I've tried my hand at washer jewelry - and failed (see photos below) but I'll keep trying.

I didn't realize my phone posted a video I took the other day until I started getting you tube comments and emails LOL So here ya go for those that haven't seen it:

Ok a coupla ya asked about the washer jewelry.  I wanted to make them for my daughters. Krystina's would have Ragan Lyn  on the large washer and 3/14/2013 on the small washer with a blue stone for March.  Amanda's would have Julianna Marie on the large washer and 7/3/2013 on the smaller one along with a red stone for July.  Sigh.  Why does everything look SO much better in my head than i…

Scrappin with my Bug Happy Birthday Blog Hop!

Hey Krazies!

My sweet friend Michelle from Scrappin with my Bug is having a birthday!  We're celebrating by gathering a bunch of fun ladies for a big blog hop that is going to run all weekend long. Lots of fun stuff to see along the way and prizes galore!  Be sure you stop at Michelles blog first to wish her a Happy Birthday!

My Project
Happy Birthday Michelle!
Front of the Gate fold card.  I used rub on dots for the top and bottom, 2 buttons to wrap the bakers twine around and cut the flowers from Walk in my garden.  The stamps are misc Birthday stamps and the paper is all DCWV various stacks.  I inked around the flowers with chalk ink (cats eye I think it's called)  Oh and the rub on dot borders are from Stamping Up.  I'm brand new with rubber stamps and will eventually learn how do do it correctly.
Inside of the card.  It's your Day is from Pink Cricut - one of her stamp sets.... sorry don't remember which. Paper is from DCWV and I inked a lil here and there.

You are going to LOVE this video. TRUST ME!

How do you store your 12x12 paper?  Do you like those Vertical folders from Cropper Hopper?  See that? 5.88.  I love them, but I needed 15 of them.  I have 5.  Well after putting my thinking cap on I came up with a way to do this for FREE.  and it takes 3 sheets of paper to decorate.  So watch the video then leave me a comment letting me know what you think.

At the end of the video is a contest for some blog candy - who wants a free cartridge?  I don't know what the cartridge is yet because my sponsor didn't tell me what they were sending - so we'll all be surprised YAAAY.

I love comments so please leave me some feedback!
